Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What would you like to tell an aspiring photographer?
Train your eyes. You can’t tell if the camera’s working right — or if you’re using it right — if you don’t know what you’re looking at, and you can’t improve if you don’t know what to fix. Is it camera shake, motion blur, or simply out of focus? Are the colours correct or just pleasing? The best way to do this is through sheer repetition and comparison under controlled circumstances. You’ll need to calibrate your monitor; if you don’t, you won’t know whether your camera’s colours are off or whether it’s the display. You might also need to enlist a keen-eyed friend to confirm your analysis, especially if your vision isn’t terrific.
What is a DSLR?
DSLR stands for “Digital Single Lens Reflex”. In simple language, DSLR is a digital camera that uses mirrors to direct light from the lens to the viewfinder, which is a hole on the back of the camera that you look through to see what you are taking a picture of.
What would be my learning outcomes of the Program?
Along with a clear guided practical and theoretical understanding of Photography & Photo Editing Softwares, We also insist, guide you to create a professional portfolio based on the interest and specialization on selected areas of photography.
There are too many DSLRs, which one should I buy?
Don’t worry about budgets or features! If you have never owned a DSLR, buy an entry-level amateur camera and forget about everything else you have read and heard so far. If you have never done serious photography before, you will go through a big learning curve, even with an amateur DSLR. You will eventually learn how to use the three kings – aperture, shutter speed and ISO to compose beautiful pictures.
Whatever said and done, in case if you are not able to afford a DSLR its perfectly fine to hire one preferably from prominent/ dependable sources. There are a lots of them but to mention a few
- Capture crew
- Google 🙂
What if I am a beginner?
The classes are made up of beginner through advanced students. Having the classes mixed in this way benefits beginners because they observe, question, and learn from others who have more experience. Everyone gets to share ideas.
Will I also get a Hands-on Experience?
Possibilities are bright, since we also need assistants whenever a professional shoot has been called for. But we will definitely be choosy based on the participant’s passion and performance during the program.
If I miss a class, can I make it up?
You can make up missed classes. If you know you are going to miss a class, let us know so we can plan another day for you and let someone use your spot for their make-up day. But our recommendation is to keep a strict discipline with the classes not to miss any unless and until it’s an emergency.
